The Games run from August 6th through the 16th.
The World Police & Fire Games (WPFG) is a multi-sport Olympic-style athletic program, held biennially, to promote physical and mental well-being of professionals in Police and Fire Services around the World. The WPFG provides a competitive and social environment to encourage and pay homage to the camaraderie among these men and women, through sports.
The games are known today as the second largest international sporting event, offering police officers, firefighters, customs and corrections officers from around the world an opportunity to showcase their athletic excellence. Originally founded in 1985 by the non-profit organization, World Police & Fire Games Federation, the Games now boast over 60 sporting events and 70 countries represented by more than 10,000 competitors.
